The process to get ISO 9001 Certificate-

1) FIRST STEP –

The first and foremost requirement is to commit to getting an ISO 9001: then just- the commitment must hand verbal but must be supported by specific actions.

2) SECOND STEP –

The second step is to appoint an internal project manager. An organization must need someone to overlook things internally and getting an ISO certification shall be taken as a project and a person is needed to research to find out the requirements to manage the disciplines and to find out the things and processes involved.

3) THIRD STEP –

The Third step is the allocation of resources like, decide whether you need to do things through a consultant or by yourself.

4) FOURTH STEP –

To establish a baseline status. You’ll need to know from where to start i.e., the starting point and do a gap analysis to create a plan and a schedule.

5) FIFTH STEP –

The next step is to develop the system. It basically means developing the current way of doing things and to basically introduce new procedures, proceedings, processes thus helping in identifying your main processes to fulfill the requirements of the basic standards.

6) SIXTH STEP –

The next and the most essential step is to audit the system. After the quotation amount is duly paid by the organization, the next step is to conduct the audit plans. The audits help in ascertaining whether such an organization meets the required quality management manuals. The basic idea of the organizational structure could be analyzed through its audit itself. There are certain companies who are at high risk such as gas appliances, medical devices etc., like for example say, wants to do business in Europe must comply with CE mark , likewise the ISO certification is beneficial so as to avoid such risks, in short, it is a safety criterion and other federal regulations and requirements may also apply.

An audit is done to check the compliance i.e., it is a systematic process in which the auditors ascertain the key processes whether they conform to the ISO standards or not. The internal audits are done by the organization itself but the external audit is done by the certifying authorities and such audits include planning, reporting and implementing corrective measures. A corrective action is taken to prevent the occurrence of a non-conformity. Such an audit helps in keeping in compliance of the objectives and measures to meet the ISO standards and also helps in identifying the deviations and the opportunity to correct them as well. In short, it brings a positive change in the system and prevents the recurring non-compliance as such. The audits are required so that the problems are detected at an earlier stage and corrected accordingly.

After going with the above procedures, you’ll be given a certificate which is required to be maintained by getting awarded the certification in every 3 years.
